How to Immigrate to Canada from India Via Express Entry?

For thousands of people looking to improve their standard of living, Canada is the dream destination for them. Canada has maintained its position as one of the most popular immigration destinations thanks to its welcoming citizens, lenient immigration laws, and robust and stable economy.

Due to its more than 80 economic immigration paths and simple immigration process, Canada receives more than 400,000 immigrants each year. In fact, Canada plans to accept over 431,000 immigrants in 2022.

According to the 2022–2024, Immigration Levels Plan for Canada, the economic class—which includes Express Entry and the Provincial Nominee Program will be home to over 60% of all immigrants.

Therefore, Express Entry and PNPs are at the top of the list if you're seeking the best routes to Canada! Take a free online profile assessment to learn which of these two your best possibilities for immigration to Canada are. The most appropriate program for you will be determined by this straightforward questionnaire, which will also examine your profile for various Canadian immigration schemes.

The Express Entry method, however, is the better of the two due to its rapid processing period of 4-6 months and transparent and fiercely competitive points system. Express Entry was expressly created by the federal government to administer and process applications for permanent residence from skilled foreign workers under the following crucial economic immigration programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

Express Entry Process

You can take the following steps to submit an application for any of the three programs indicated above:

Gather supporting documentation

When submitting a Canada Permanent Resident application, documentation is important. You must submit the following paperwork as a candidate at various points:

  • A valid passport or another kind of travel authorization
  • Proof of identity
  • A marriage certificate (if applicable)
  • A French-language language test score or an IELTS score
  • If you're applying through the Federal Skilled Workers program or you received your education outside of Canada, an ECA (education credential assessment) report
  • Reference letters from current and former companies
  • Police clearance certificate
  • Health examination report
  • Enough proof of funds to prove your ability to sustain your family's living costs in Canada.
  • Written job offer from a Canadian employer or a provincial nomination (if you have one)

Meet minimum eligibility criteria

As said, you must understand your requirements and goals to choose a program accurately. To qualify and submit an Express Entry profile, you are required to meet the minimum eligibility criteria of any of the three programs. If applying under Federal Skilled Worker Program, you must score at least 67 points out of 100.

Each program has its set of Canada PR requirements. An applicant must satisfy and enter the pool of candidates where they will be awarded a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score based on different selection factors for Canada PR.

Either a provincial nomination or a written job offer from a Canadian firm (if you have one)

Meeting the basic requirements

As previously said, you needed to make an accurate program choice, you must be aware of your needs and goals. You must fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements of one of the three programs in order to be eligible and submit an Express Entry profile. In order to qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, you must receive at least 67 out of 100 possible points.

The requirements for Canada PR vary depending on the program. A candidate for Canada PR must meet the requirements and enter the pool of applicants in order to be given a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score based on various selection criteria.

3. Submit your visa application.

You must wait for an invitation to apply, or ITA, which is only given to the top applicants in the pool when you enter the pool and receive a CRS score. If you are one of the fortunate ones, you

Will receive an ITA and be qualified to file your final and comprehensive application for permanent residency.

Step 4: Pay the required cost.

Once all of your documents have been uploaded, you must pay the charge, which consists of the following:
  • Fee for processing for you and your family
  • Fee for a permanent residence right
  • Cost of biometrics

Step 5: Get Visa Approval after Verification

You must wait while a Canadian immigration officer examines your application at this point. You will receive confirmation of your PR status after all the information and documents you submitted have been properly examined.
